The Alachua County Broadband Initiative will host a free Fiber Education and Digital Literacy event on Friday, Sept. 25, at the Senior Recreation Center in Gainesville.
The event, held in partnership with Kinetic, will run from 10 to 11 a.m. at 5701 NW 34th Blvd. and will focus on fiber broadband education, cybersecurity and digital literacy.
Participants will learn about fiber internet technology, essential technology skills and web-based tools that support everyday life at home, work and school. The program will also cover ways to protect personal information online, recognize cyber scams, understand the benefits of fiber internet and use digital tools more effectively.
