UF Health will host a Community Health Fair and Falls Expo on Wednesday, Sept. 24, at the Alachua County Senior Recreation Center in Gainesville.
The free event will run from noon to 4:30 p.m. at 5701 NW 34th Blvd.
The first segment of the event, from noon to 4:30 p.m., is the CarFit Inspections, which will be by appointment only. CarFit is a free program that helps older drivers make sure their cars are properly adjusted for safety and comfort. A quick check can improve visibility, reduce blind spots and enhance confidence on the road.
Call 352-284-4937 to make an appointment for CarFit.
The health fair will run from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. and attendees can learn about resources and services in the community from a variety of exhibitors. There will be prizes and refreshments. You do not need to register to attend the health fair.
