More than 30 organizations will participate in the 2026 Disability Awareness Expo on Wednesday, July 29, providing information, resources and services for people with disabilities and their families.
The free event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Martin Luther King Jr. Multipurpose Center (1028 NE 14th St., Gainesville).
Hosted to increase awareness and access to services, the expo will bring together government agencies, public organizations and private businesses to educate attendees about disability rights while showcasing products, programs and community resources.
The event will feature a panel discussion from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. with representatives from:
- Center for Independent Living North Central Fl
- Disability Rights Florida
- ElderCare of Alachua County
- Regional Transit System – RTS Plus
- Dogs Inc.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit vendor booths throughout the event and connect directly with participating organizations.
The Florida Department of Health in Alachua County will provide free A1C testing and distribute giveaways at its booth.
