Alachua County will hold its next community input session for the Forward Focus Initiative at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Fellowship Hall of Jerusalem Church of God by Faith (1230 NE 156th Ave., Gainesville).

The Forward Focus Initiative was launched in October 2024 as the Board of County Commissioners seeks to identify opportunities in eastern Alachua County, from quality of life to economic opportunities and any other topics residents bring up.

The county said all residents, community leaders and local business owners are encouraged to attend. The county has held meetings in Hawthorne, Micanopy and Waldo, and the next session will be in Island Grove.
