Terwilliger Elementary School
Courtesy of Alachua County Public SchoolsGainesville Regional Utilities (GRU) will be hosting a community open house on Tuesday, Aug. 22.
The event will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 22, at Terwilliger Elementary School (3999 SW 122nd St.).
The purpose of the meeting is to share information and for GRU to begin receiving feedback on its Southwest Nature Park.
The park is a constructed wetland park that will help replenish the Floridan aquifer and benefit the community’s water resources. The 75-acre park is located on the west side of Parker Road immediately north of the Diamond Sports Park.
This is one of several public meetings GRU will host about the Southwest Nature Park.
