Hippodrome’s Art Galler is opening a new exhibition featuring the works of Florida-based painter Josiah Lloyd.  

The new exhibit will open from noon to 7 p.m. every day starting on Thursday, Feb. 1 and it will run until March 3 at the Hippodrome (25 SE 2nd Place) in Gainesville.  

In a special highlight, the gallery will participate in the Artwalk Gainesville from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23. This event offers a unique opportunity for the community to engage with the artwork and meet the artist.  

Despite working in different mediums Lloyd’s exhibition will only be showcasing paintings. 

Lloyd has spent several years cultivating a powerful body of work that draws inspiration from different art practices. The collection is a testament to Lloyd’s unique perspective on memory and visual language.
