Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church is inviting community members of all ages to take the field in support of cancer awareness and prevention during the “Kick Cancer Kickball Game” on Saturday, July 11.
The free event begins at 11 a.m. at T.B. McPherson Park, located at 1717 SE 15th St. in Gainesville, and aims to bring together youth and adults for a fun, family-friendly event while honoring those affected by cancer. Click here to enter the event.
Organizers hope to welcome 200 youth participants and 100 adults to play three innings of kickball as part of the community-wide effort to raise awareness and show support for individuals and families impacted by the disease.
Participants will receive an award recognizing their support of someone they know who has been affected by cancer.
