Alachua County will host a community open house for the Kincaid Loop Trail project on Saturday, Aug. 9.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to noon at the TB McPherson Center (1717 SE 15th St., Gainesville).

The open house will allow residents to drop in and view the updated project designs and provide feedback.

The Kincaid Loop Trail is a planned 3.34-mile, 10-foot-wide shared-use path designed to enhance bicycle and pedestrian mobility in southeast Gainesville. The project will include pedestrian lighting, stormwater enhancements and upgraded signage and pavement markings to provide safer and more accessible multimodal travel.

The trail will follow SE 15th Street, SE 41st Avenue and SE 27th Street.
