The National Coalition of 100 Black Women Inc., Greater Gainesville Chapter has launched its nonpartisan 2026 voter engagement campaign, “Our Voice. Our Vote. Our Future,” to encourage voter registration, civic participation and community engagement ahead of the 2026 Primary and General Elections.

The campaign will focus on reaching eligible voters throughout Greater Gainesville and Alachua, Marion and Columbia counties through voter education, community outreach, social media engagement, partnerships with local organizations and public service announcements.

“Our goal is quite simple,” Chapter President Florida Bridgewater-Alford said in the press release. “We want every eligible voter in our communities to understand that their voice matters and their vote matters. And we want them to teach one, bring one.”

According to the organization, the campaign is designed to provide residents with accurate election information while encouraging them to register to vote, participate in elections and remain engaged in the democratic process.

“Our campaign is designed to meet people where they are, provide accurate information, and encourage neighbors, family members, and friends to register, vote, and stay engaged,” said Ivy Bell, chair of the Public Policy Committee for the Greater Gainesville Chapter, in the press release. “When we participate, our communities are stronger, and our voices are impossible to ignore.”

The organization is reminding residents of several key election dates for 2026:

  • July 20: Voter registration deadline for the Primary Election.
  • Aug. 18: Primary Election Day.
  • Oct. 5: Voter registration deadline for the General Election.
  • Nov. 3: General Election Day.

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women Inc., Greater Gainesville Chapter said the campaign reflects its ongoing commitment to advocacy, leadership development and empowering communities through civic engagement.
