The Oak Hall Fine Arts will present a showcase on Friday, Jan. 23, featuring three local artists.
The reception will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, in the Cofrin Gallery at Oak Hall School. The artists are Leslie Peebles, Joanna Clark, and Wes Lindberg.
Peebles makes vividly colored, immersive linoleum-cut prints of local environments, flora, and fauna. Her “works push beyond the boundary of surface description to a deeper, numinous or magical realism.”
Clark is a sculptor and digital artist who finds inspiration every day, often using common or readily available materials like wood and repurposed objects as source material. She creates transformative works that challenge our perceptions while remaining open-ended and playful with a sense of spiritual, ritual, and dreams.
Lindberg is a digital artist who creates colorful and vibrant digital prints through a unique process of long-exposure digital photography, video projection, and performance art.
