‘Summer Blitz 2026’ on tap for Saturday

The city of Gainesville’s “Summer Blitz 2026” is slated to take place on Saturday at the Martin Luther King Jr. Multipurpose Center.

This event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1028 NE 14th St. No registration is required.

Summer Blitz is a community resource fair designed to help local youth and their families explore summer camps and enrichment programs. Find the right summer program in one place, with more than 30 organizations offering enrollment opportunities.

Programs span arts, STEM, sports, leadership, college access and career opportunities, including Upward Bound, youth, employment and the Public Safety Academy.

There will be free food, music, giveaways and a PlayStation Madden Football Tournament for middle and high school students.
