
Alachua County Fire Rescue units extricated one person from a crash near northbound mile marker 378 on I-75 north of Micanopy on Tuesday morning.

According to an Alachua County Fire Rescue (ACFR) release, firefighters responded to an accident just before 6 a.m. at northbound mile marker 378.
When units arrived, they discovered a single vehicle with heavy damage nearly 25 feet from I-75 in the tree line. One person was located in the vehicle and required extrication using the “Jaws of Life” equipment.
Emergency responders transported the patient to UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville.
