Multiple fire units have the 750-acre Ramsey Bend Hunting Club fire in Dixie County at 80 percent containment as of Sunday.

According to a Cross City Fire Department (CCFD) release sent on Sunday, the Florida Forest Service is now conducting mop-up operations to extinguish the fire. The operations include a fixed-wing flyover to monitor conditions while the Forest Service uses multiple bulldozers to strengthen containment lines. No homes are threatened and no roads have been impacted, according to the release.

Units from CCFD, Dixie County Fire Rescue and the Florida Department of Forestry were involved in containing the large brush fire, which was named the Ramsey Bend Hunting Club Fire, according to a Dixie County Sheriff’s Office release when the fire was first reported on Saturday.
