The Alachua County Clerk’s Office announced Tuesday it will participate in the statewide Operation Green Light Program, helping people with overdue traffic tickets or reinstating suspended driver’s licenses.
Customers will be given the opportunity to pay off old obligations to return to the road and could save up to 35 percent in collection agency fees, according to a county press release. The program will run from April 4 to April 8.
Two options to settle debts include making a full payment or starting a payment plan. Customers will need to call during business hours (8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m.) at 352-374-3636 or go in person to either the Family and Civil Courthouse at 201 E. University Ave. or the Mickle Criminal Courthouse at 220 S. Main St.
