A woman suffered life-threatening injuries after she collided with a tractor trailer while traveling the wrong direction on U.S. Highway 301.

According to Floriday Highway Patrol (FHP), the incident occurred just before 10 a.m. Friday in the southeast corner of Alachua County. A 31-year-old Umatilla woman was driving a white SUV northbound in the southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 301 when she encountered the tractor trailer near the intersection with County Road 325.
