A Florida Department of Corrections officer backed a DOC van into another officer at the Department of Corrections Reception and Medical Center West Unit in Lake Butler.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, the incident occurred at 6:30 a.m. on Monday when a van driven by a 30-year-old female from Cross City backed into a 62-year-old male officer from Lake Butler. The male officer was outside the van.
Emergency responders transported the officer to UF Shands Hospital with minor injuries.
