A 69-year-old Micanopy man driving the motorcycle tried to avoid the SUV but lost control of the motorcycle. Both the motorcycle driver and a 46-year-old Gainesville woman riding as a passenger were thrown across the roadway. The man sustained minor injuries, but the woman is in critical condition.
