High Springs man dies in Levy County crash

An 85-year-old High Springs man died when his minivan left County Road 241 in Levy County and crashed into a tree on Monday.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) report, the High Springs man was driving a 2023 Chrysler Town & Country minivan south on CR 241 at 6 p.m. near 9650 NE 150th Ave. when his vehicle traveled off the roadway onto the west grass shoulder. The van collided with a fence and then a tree.

Emergency responders pronounced the man dead on scene.
