Updating Breaking News: Pedestrian killed on US-90 in Suwannee County

The Florida Highway Patrol responded to a pedestrian fatality last night in Suwannee County at approximately 10:25 pm.

According to the FHP report, a pickup truck, driven by a 44-year old Lake City woman, was traveling east on US Highway 90 in the eastbound lane when it collided with a pedestrian.

After the collision, the pickup came to a final rest in the eastbound lane on US Highway 90 facing east. The pedestrian, a 42-year-old Live Oak man, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Suwannee County Fire Rescue. The crash remains under investigation.

The FHP did not release the name of the driver or the pedestrian.
