Motorcyclist dies in Bradford County accident

A DeLeon Springs man died after he drove his BMW motorcycle into a ditch and crashed while exiting US Highway 301 in Bradford County on Thursday.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) report, the 59-year-old was exiting US 301 northbound at the State Road 100 exit ramp west of Starke around 12:12 p.m. when he traveled onto the shoulder of the road and into a ditch.

Emergency responders transported the man to Starke Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
