Nine vehicles collided at I-75 northbound exit 399, sending eight people to the hospital on Monday evening.
According to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) spokesperson Lt. Patrick Riordan, the injured people were transported to local hospitals and nearly 300 gallons of diesel fuel were spilled.
The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) sent out a Twitter post around 6:50 p.m. stating that all three northbound lanes at the Alachua exit were blocked due to the accident.
