A 62-year-old Old Town man died when he rode his motorcycle off the roadway while traveling south on US Highway 19 in Dixie County on Sunday afternoon.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, the man was riding southbound on US 19 north of SW 37th Avenue at 4:30 p.m. northwest of Cross City when he ran off the roadway to the right, entered a ditch and was thrown from his motorcycle.
Emergency responders pronounced him dead on scene.
