A 28-year-old Old Town woman died on Saturday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision on US Highway 19 northwest of Cross City.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, the Old Town woman was driving a sedan northbound on US 19 south of NW 360th Street at 5:21 p.m. when a 27-year-old Cross City woman driving a pickup northbound on US 19 struck the sedan’s left rear with the pickup’s front right side.

The collision sent the sedan onto the right shoulder of US 19 where it overturned. The Old Town woman, who reportedly was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from her vehicle while it was rolling.
