Single-vehicle crash kills teen, injures 3

A single vehicle collision resulted in the death of a teenage Live Oak male and left three others injured early Saturday morning along County Road 136 in Suwannee County.

The Florida Highway Patrol reported a 19-year-old Live Oak male was driving a pickup westbound around 2:10 a.m. on Saturday along County Road 136 near County Road 136A when he failed to negotiate a curve, left the road onto the north shoulder and collided with a tree.

A 17-year-old Live Oak male riding in the vehicle was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

First responders transported the driver (serious condition) and two other passengers—a 15-year-old Jacksonville female (minor injuries) and a 20-year-old Jasper male (serious condition)—to local hospitals.

FHP reported no one was wearing a seatbelt.
