A prolific career at Belleview gains Briana Robinson a scholarship to Stetson

Today’s senior spotlight is on Briana Robinson of Belleview High School.

Robinson was on the Rattlers’ swimming and softball teams. She excelled on the diamond and in the classroom.

Briana Robinson of Belleview High School.

Robinson was top 10 in her class and top offensive player two years in a row. After just three full seasons, she was in the top 10 in nearly every batting category in Rattlers’ school history, including second all-time in batting average with a .466 average and three straight .400-plus seasons, fourth in home runs (7), ninth in hits (110), sixth in runs scored (93), ninth in RBIs (73) and third with a .686 slugging percentage.

Robinson was one of seven seniors on the Belleview softball team, which was ranked number one in the state in Class 4A and had a perfect 11-0 record in 2020.

Her senior campaign was on pace to be her best ever.  She was batting .514 with three doubles and a team-leading three homeruns. Robinson was also second on the team with 17 runs driven in. After originally planning to attend school in Illinois, Robinson made the decision to stay close to home and go to school in-state.

Robinson will be attending Stetson University on a softball scholarship to earn her bachelors in health science before becoming a PA or an Oncologist. She is one of just three Belleview softball players all-time to sign with a Division-I school.
