Buchholz advanced into the 6A-District 2 Semifinals after cruising past Leon on Monday.
The Bobcats girls basketball team rushed out of the gate with a 33-6 first quarter and never allowed the visiting Lions to score double digits in any quarter in the 6A-District 2 Quarterfinals 71-20 win.
Junior Jamison Cardwell led No. 3 seed Buchholz (11-8) with 23 points, including five 3-pointers, against No. 6 Leon (6-18). Sophomore Taylor Booth added 14 points and junior Kennedy Wyckoff had 10 points.
The Bobcats travel to No. 2 seed Gainesville (8-12) for a 6 p.m. contest on Wednesday.
Santa Fe 35, Keystone Heights 26
Sophomore Deziah Jones scored 13 points and junior Natalie Chohan added 10 points as the No. 4 seed Raiders (7-10) defeated No. 5 Keystone Heights (1-21) in the 4A-District 5 Quarterfinals on Monday.
Santa Fe will play top-seed Eastside on Wednesday in the semifinal round.
Suwannee 48, North Marion 8
The No. 3 seed Bulldogs (9-7) easily kept winless North Marion (0-19) out of the victory column on Wednesday with a 48-8 win in the 4A-District 5 Quarterfinals on Monday.
Senior Shadavia Jones led Suwannee with 13 points and the Bulldogs will play No. 2 seed Palatka on the road on Wednesday.
