Captain of the baseball team, co-valedictorian, and on his way to Harvard in the fall

Today’s senior spotlight is on Alex Dang of the Eastside baseball team. Dang is a National AP Scholar, a National Merit Finalist, Co-Valedictorian, Sunshine State Scholar, and team captain.

On the baseball field this season, Dang was batting .367 and he was second on the team with 11 hits. He also had two doubles, nine stolen bases, and nine runs scored in nine games.

His favorite high school sports moment was last year when the Rams defeated rival Gainesville for the first time since 2002. He was the starting pitching against the Hurricanes.
