DiBernardo: Three-sport athlete at Oak Hall heading to Wilkes University in the fall

Today’s senior spotlight is on Rocky DiBernardo of Oak Hall School. DiBernardo played football, basketball, and baseball for the Eagles. He was a part of Oak Hall’s first undefeated season in school history his freshman year as the Eagles were crowned North Florida Football Conference Champions.  DiBernardo received the Football Team MVP Award as a sophomore. His favorite high school sports moment was when Coach Matt DiBernardo, his dad, broke the white board at halftime in his first regular season game because he was so excited they were playing well.

DiBernardo was a Gainesville Sun 2nd Team All-Area selection in baseball his sophomore and junior seasons. Among his academic accomplishments was making the honor roll his junior and senior year, including high honor roll as a sophomore. 

He also won an Academic Merit Award as a junior. DiBernardo will attend Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, where he will be play baseball for the Colonels with plans to major in Engineering.
