Tonight is Day #1 of the NFL Draft and one area player who could eventually hear his name called hails from Ocala. Former Colt Freddie Swain, who had 43 catches for 648 yards and seven touchdowns his senior season at North Marion in 2015, is coming off an impressive combine. Swain, who led North Marion to a 10-2 season as a senior, bench pressed 225 pounds 16 times and ran a 4.46 in the 40-yard dash. In his last two seasons with the Gators, Swain had 52 catches for 782 yards and 13 touchdowns.

In his career at UF, Swain appeared in 47 career games (10 starts), catching 68 passes for 996 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also tallied 1,387 all-purpose yards over his collegiate career, and returned 39 punts for 308 career yards, highlighted by his 85-yard touchdown return against Colorado State in 2018, which tied for the second-longest punt return touchdown in school history.

According to 247sports.com, Swain is projected to be drafted in the 6th round.
