The high school football regular season has officially come to an end.
The Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) will have a bracket release show on YouTube at noon on Thursday to announce this year’s field.
That means no football broadcasts this week, but we are planning on broadcasting two FHSAA football playoff games next week.
While the football broadcasts are postponed until next week, we are back tonight at locally owned Sonic Drive-In from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday for “The Prep Zone” Sports Show.
Our guests will be first-year Trenton football coach Bryant Frye and members of the playoff-bound Tigers football team. Trenton will find out its final seeding and matchup on Thursday during the FHSAA’s bracket release show.
My radio broadcast partner, Hank Rone, will serve as co-host for the program tonight. You can listen to the show ‘live’ and ‘archived’ on Mainstreet Daily News.
At 6 p.m. on Thursday, tune in to the Jacksonville Jaguars Coaches Show on 106.9 FM “I am Country,” followed by this Sunday’s Jacksonville Jaguars game at the Houston Texans. The pregame show begins at noon, followed by the kickoff at 1 p.m.
This Friday, we will have several ‘live’ broadcasts from high school basketball media day (4 to 7 p.m.) at Gainesville High School.
Join Mainstreet Daily News Sports Director Mike Ridaught, MDN’s Marty Pallman, and former Countryside Christian boys basketball coach Mac MaCray for coverage on our website.
A total of 26 schools have signed up and we will have additional broadcast information soon.
