
The MotoAmerica Mini Cup will be held at Gainesville Raceway this weekend.
This event, which features motorcycle riders ages 5-16, will open the gates at 7 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, and Sunday, May 25, at Gainesville Raceway (11211 N County Rd. 225), with the races starting at 9 a.m. and running through 4 p.m.
The tickets are $15 per day or $20 for the weekend and can be paid at the gate.
With riders aged 5-16, this series serves as the first step on a path that could lead to MotoAmerica, North America’s premier road racing championship.
The qualifier will feature all Mini Cup classes.
- Stock 50 – Ages 6-8
- Stock 110 – Ages 8-12
- GP160 – Ages 10-14
- GP190 – Ages 12-16
- Street GP – Ages 12 and up
- Stock 125 – Ages 12-17
The Mini Cup provides young riders with the opportunity to develop their skills in a competitive yet supportive environment, with the chance to qualify for the biggest race of the season at Road America and become a national champion
Racers who qualify from this event will have an opportunity to race in the Mini Cup National Championship race at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, from Aug. 8-10
