Newberry High’s Paige Dinges looks to spike her volleyball career with a state championship in 2020

Today’s Rising Senior spotlight is on Paige Dinges of Newberry High School.

Dinges will play middle blocker for the Panthers’ volleyball team this year.  She’s been playing at the varsity level for four years and was a Gainesville Sun 2nd team All-Area selection her junior year at Newberry and an honorable mention selection at Fort White High School her sophomore year.

Her favorite high school sports moment was playing in the state championship game against Sneads last November.  She led the Panthers in kills with 13 that day.

Dinges is a very athletic player. Her approach jump is 10 feet. Last year as a junior, she finished second on the team with 228 kills, and added 69 blocks, 99 digs, and 17 service aces.

The thing she is looking forward to the most about her senior year is being a leader to the underclassmen and working hard to get back to state after the Panthers finished as runners-up in 2019.

Dinges currently has interest from Valdosta State and Saint Leo University to continue her volleyball career at the college level.
