She’s also come up aces in the classroom. Miller has a 4.9 GPA, with straight A’s.

Her favorite high school sports moment was beating Branford in the Class 1A state semifinals in November to go to Fort Myers and play in the state finals.

Miller is a rising senior for the Newberry volleyball team. Miller said she is looking forward to her senior year and wants to win a fifth district championship, make another run to state and to win it this year.

She also wants to set the school record for assists.

Her favorite saying is from her head coach, Hank Rone, who said, “you can play at the college level, professional level, and for travel teams, but nothing is as good a feeling as playing for your hometown and at Newberry High School.”

The Panthers open up the regular season on Tuesday, August the 18th, at Oak Hall School (Gainesville).
