Oglesby did it all for Belleview Rattler softball team

 Today’s senior spotlight is on Autumn Oglesby of the Belleview softball team.

 Oglesby was named the Ocala Star-Banner pitcher of the year for the second year in a row last year after leading the Rattlers to a 19-7 record and the second round of the state playoffs. As a junior, she recorded 114 strikeouts and had a 1.22 earned run average. She also batted .349 with 10 runs driven in, four runs scored, three doubles, and one homerun and earned second team All-State honors in Class 6A.

This season, the Belleview softball team was off to its best start in school history at 11-0 and the Rattlers were ranked number one in the state in Class 4A. They were also ranked 24th in the country.

As a pitcher, Oglesby was 10-0 this season with a 1.45 ERA. In 10 appearances, Oglesby had four complete games and one shutout. She had 42 strikeouts in 53 innings pitched and opponents were batting just .192 against the senior. Oglesby’s plans after high school are to go to Rasmussen College and earn her radiology degree.
