Ramirez leaves his mark at Gainesville High School

Today’s senior spotlight is on Danny Ramirez of the Gainesville High School swimming and water polo teams. 

Ramirez was a team captain and played whole defender for the Hurricanes’ water polo team, which went undefeated in district play and was named Region 1, District 2 Champions. He was a four-year starter and led the team in career goals. He had 35 goals and 48 steals in the 2020 season. He is the GHS all-time leading scorer with 113 goals.

Ramirez was also on the A/B Honor Roll at GHS. He is the recipient of the English 3 Honors Award.

He has offers from Salem College, Iona College and West Coast University in California. He is planning to attend Santa Fe College this fall since he has been unable to visit these school due to the coronavirus.
