Today’s Rising Senior spotlight is on Tylan Roundtree of Saint Francis Catholic Academy.

Roundtree will participate in football and track and field during his senior season. His favorite high school sports moment so far was making the varsity football team his freshman year and starting all year.

Last year he was named to the second team offense all-area team by the Gainesville Sun after the starting guard graded out at 83%.

He also had 58 tackles and 3.5 sacks on defense. His best game on defense came against Deltona Trinity Christian Academy when he recorded a season-high 13 tackles.

Roundtree, an A/B honor roll student, currently has an offer from Methodist University. He is also receiving interest from Cincinnati and Wake Forest.

Roundtree will play on the offensive and defensive line for the Wolves, who will travel to St. Joseph Academy (St. Augustine) for the season opener next Friday, September 4th.

With every team advancing to the postseason this year due to Covid-19, it will be St. Francis Catholic’s fourth straight playoff appearance.
