Spencer wants to lead Wolves to success in baseball and football this season

 Today’s Rising Senior spotlight is on Trevor Spencer of St. Francis Catholic Academy. 

Spencer will play football and baseball for the Wolves this season. Spencer, who will play shortstop and pitch, batted .312 with 11 stolen bases this past spring. As a sophomore he batted .370 with 3 doubles, one triple, and six runs driven in to earn second team All-Area honors.  

His favorite high school sports moment was in football, when he scored his first touchdown his sophomore year.

Spencer, who will play wide receiver and safety for St. Francis Catholic Academy, had four receiving touchdowns and 20 solo tackles as a junior as St. Francis advanced to the state playoffs for the third consecutive year. His goal for this year is to a first team All-Area selection in football and baseball.

St. Francis Catholic, which will return eight starters on offense and has a total of 10 back on defense, will open the regular season on Friday, September 4th, at St. Joseph Academy in St. Augustine.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
