- Two-time defending state champion Trenton moved up to No. 2 with an unbeaten 7-0 record and 190 voting points.
- Baker County rose four spots to No. 3, while Trinity Catholic maintained its No. 4 position in the rankings.
- University Christian jumped from receiving votes to No. 10 after starting the season undefeated at 6-0.
Nationally ranked Montverde Academy remained No. 1 in the all-classification regional softball rankings.
The Class 2A Eagles had a 6-game winning streak snapped with their first loss of the season at 6A region finalist Bartow, 5-1, on March 6, but they remained on top of The Prep Zone Power Poll, which ranks the top 20 teams across 26 counties in Florida.
Montverde Academy, which is led by Ole Miss commit Nevaeh Williams and Central Florida commit Addison Poe, received seven of the 10 first-place votes and 197 total voting points.
Two-time defending state champion Trenton, which moved up one spot to No. 2, is closing in on the No. 1 ranking, as they received 190 total voting points.
The Rural No. 1 Tigers, who have yet to lose, received the other three first-place votes.
Class 4A Baker County (Glen St. Mary) moved up four spots to No. 3, while 2A Trinity Catholic (Ocala) remained fourth.
Class 3A Eustis (4-2), which lost to No. 1 Montverde Academy, 7-4, on March 5, dropped three spots to fifth.
Crystal River, which lost 12-0 to No. 2 Trenton, dropped one spot and leads off the second five at No. 6, followed by Santa Fe (Alachua), Baldwin, East Ridge (Clermont) and University Christian (Jacksonville) in the top 10.
Class 1A University Christian (Jacksonville) made a massive jump from receiving votes (RV) to No. 10 following an unbeaten start, and 3A West Nassau (Callahan) went from RV (receiving votes) to No. 11.
In addition to Trenton and Santa Fe, other teams in the Mainstreet coverage area include No. 12 Branford and No. 14 Columbia (Lake City), while GHS, Buchholz, Bradford (Starke) and Fort White are RV.
The Prep Zone Power Poll ranks the top 20 high school football, basketball, baseball & softball teams (regardless of FHSAA classification) across 26 counties in North Florida (Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Citrus, Clay, Columbia, Dixie, Duval, Flagler, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Hernando, Jefferson, Lafayette, Lake, Levy, Madison, Marion, Nassau, Putnam, Sumter, St. Johns, Suwannee, Taylor, Union & Volusia counties). It is voted on by sportswriters and sportscasters, and it is powered by Be Well Fitness.
