Anderson, who was named the Florida Dairy Farmers Class 1A Coach of the Year, guided the Tigers to the Class 1A state title last month with a miracle comeback in the state championship game against Branford.

The Lady Tigers, who were down to their final out and trailing 4-0, rallied for four runs to tie it and then won it, 6-5, in extra innings to win their third state softball title since 2019.

They also had a walk-off 3-2 win in the 1A state semifinals against Holmes County (Bonifay).

Freshman pitcher Addison Allaire, who was named the Florida Dairy Farmers Class 1A Player of the Year, struck out 18 batters in the game.

On Monday, Allaire and Anderson each finished sixth in the Florida Miss Softball and overall Coach of the Year voting.

Following Tuesday night’s ‘live’ broadcast, the show will be ‘archived’ here.
