The organization, which has helped provide affordable homes for 190 low-income families in Alachua County since 1986, is looking for a CEO with “exemplary leadership skills and significant practical experience motivating and leading a team-oriented, mission-driven organization,” according to the job description.
The CEO reports directly to Habitat’s board of directors and oversees several divisions, including family services, construction, land development, fundraising, finance and administration. The successful candidate also will lead a one-time restructuring of the local organization.
Habitat is looking for someone with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience, including 5 years of executive leadership in a nonprofit, housing or community development related-field.
September 2025 is the expected start date for the position, which has an annual salary range of $100,000 to $125,000.
The organization has hired Catalyst Consulting Services out of Tampa to conduct the search. Catalyst will begin reviewing applications on June 9 but is accepting applications until July 11.
Interested applicants will need to submit via email to Catalyst a single document containing a cover letter, resume and information about how they found out about the position. The materials can be sent to Michelle Turman, Catalyst president and CEO, at mturman@catalystcs.org.
