More than 40 vendors will be selling their wares at a new vintage market being held at the Newberry Cornfield Maze this weekend.
The event is being hosted by Gail Hodge, who has plans to build the event into an ongoing premier market in North Central Florida.
Organizer Ken McIntosh says there are spaces still available. The event was originally scheduled for Feb. 19 and 20 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. but hours may be extended on Saturday because of inclement weather, and some vendors are planning to remain for a Sunday sale as well.
McIntosh, who specializes in cast iron pots and pans, said he is bringing a Griswold High Top Dutch Oven to the Saturday event.
Spaces are $50 for 10 by 20 feet and $100 for 30 by 30 feet. Bring your own tables and be prepared to haggle, McIntosh said.
There will be some new items by crafters available too. Kevlyn McIntosh and her daughter Kassidy will be selling custom mugs and tumblers. One vendor will be offering shadow boxes and custom painted sneakers.
Lisa Weston from Lisa’s Lovelies in Morriston showed of her staged antique dollhouse, a 1960 Mickey Mouse and a never opened 1970s Toymaster kitchen cupboard and a 1940s British Seagull outboard motor.
Big Ash BBQ Owner William Morris brought his food truck from Middleburg and is cooking up a full menu that includes 10-pound pork butts for $40 and full racks of ribs for $35 plus other meals and sausage.
