Gainesville police search for suspect who abandoned 8-week-old puppy

The Gainesville Police Department (GPD) announced on Facebook an effort to identify who abandoned an eight-week-old poodle in a Publix parking lot.

The puppy was found unresponsive and locked inside a crate. GPD said the dog may die because of a virus or toxin that has progressed through lack of care.  

The dog was left on Tuesday outside the Publix at 3720 NW 13th Street. GPD is searching for the occupants of a gold Toyota Camry with damage to the driver’s side door and rear panel.

I want to help with the cost of treating this puppy. Then I want to keep him/her. Sounds like Parvo is what he/she has.
