This past week, several schools in North Central Florida received threats. The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office held a press conference on Wednesday after three straight days of arrests. On Sunday, a 13-year-old Madison County boy was arrested for making threats to Columbia and Madison county schools, and then a 17-year-old boy and 14-year-old girl were apprehended on Monday and Tuesday for making threats to Fort White High School.

Also on Wednesday, Chiefland schools were put on “secure campus” status while law enforcement investigated a potential threat, which later was determined to be unfounded.
