The Region IV Democratic Women’s Clubs of Florida, in partnership with the Democratic Women’s Club of Alachua County and the Democratic Women’s Club of Santa Fe Springs, will host a Meet the Candidates event on Saturday, June 27, in Newberry.
The event will start at 2 p.m. at 25515 N.W. Sixth Ave. at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center. The event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The public forum will provide residents with an opportunity to hear directly from candidates seeking office in several local, state and federal races ahead of the upcoming election cycle.
Invited candidates include those running for the U.S. Senate, Congressional District 3, Florida Senate District 6, and Florida House Districts 10 and 22.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the candidates, their priorities and the issues affecting North Florida communities. The event is intended to encourage civic engagement and provide voters with information to help them make informed decisions at the ballot box.
