SALARY: $21.19 – $27.83 hourly

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate of Arts degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting and two years experience in responsible accounting or bookkeeping work; or a Bachelor’s degree with major course work in accounting, business or related field; or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Successful completion of a criminal history background investigation is required prior to
employment. Applicants within six months of meeting the education/experience requirement may be considered for trainee status.
Position Summary:
This is highly responsible technical work in bookkeeping and fiscal operations. An employee in this class independently processes fiscal records and maintains books, ledgers, and journals, reviews fiscal documents and information, prepares grant reports, prepares fiscal reports with the use of charts, and assists in preparing and monitoring budget expenditures.
Work is directed and reviewed by an immediate administrative superior and by internal controls and periodic audits to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
