Key Points

Get ready for sticky syrup and old-time music as the city of Gainesville hosts its Cane Boil & Fiddle Fest on Saturday.

The annual event will happen from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Morningside Nature Center (3540 E. University Ave.). The event is free for adults and children, but the center has a no pet policy.

The festival aims to transport attendees to the 1870s with traditional games, farm tours with role play, old time and Americana music and cane grinding.

The event will also have guided walks through the center’s trails and food.
