Peaceful Paths is inviting the community to take a stand against domestic violence during its second annual Strength in Strides domestic violence awareness walk on Sunday, Oct. 11, in Gainesville.
The free event will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. at First Magnitude Brewing Company and Depot Park, 1220 SE Veitch St. Registration is required by clicking here and participants will have the option to purchase an event T-shirt.
The afternoon will begin with a pre-walk program at 2 p.m. at First Magnitude Brewing Company (1220 SE Veitch St.), followed by a one-mile awareness walk through Depot Park (874 SE 4th St.). The walk will begin and end at the brewery.

Designed to honor the strength and resilience of survivors while raising awareness about domestic violence, the event will also highlight the free and confidential services Peaceful Paths provides to survivors and their families throughout the community.
Participants can enjoy food trucks, music, educational resources and family-friendly activities throughout the afternoon.
Businesses, civic organizations, families and community groups are encouraged to form teams and participate together. Registered participants will also have the opportunity to raise funds in advance of the event to support Peaceful Paths’ mission.
Organizers hope to raise $50,000 to help sustain the organization’s efforts to provide lifesaving services, support survivors and prevent domestic violence in the community.
