The Fourth Annual Santa Paws 5K-9 and 10K-9 fundraiser run/walk is slated for Saturday, Dec. 6, in Gainesville.
The event will run from 8 to 11 a.m. at Albert “Ray” Massey Westside Park (3100-3346 NW 8th Ave.). You can run, walk or stroll with your dog and fellow animal lovers.
The cost is $38 for the 5K-9 or $48 for the 10K-9. Registration ends at 11:59 on Friday, Dec. 5. Click here to register.
Awards will be given for the first-place male and female for both races, along with an award for the largest team.
The festive race will benefit the Humane Society of North Central Florida (HSNCF), an organization dedicated to improving the lives of homeless pets and building a compassionate, animal-focused community.
HSNCF’s goal is $10,000 which will help support re-homing animals in need.
