Anew Florida is holding its inaugural Summer Survivor Benefit Dinner and fundraiser featuring a lineup of inspirational speakers on July 24.
The faith-based, anti-human trafficking organization is in its 14th year of operating Alachua County’s only safe housing and healing programs for thousands of women survivors of trafficking.
Anew also hosts an annual 5K race at San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park and recently received a land donation to build more safe beds.
The nonprofit’s business casual gala will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Santa Fe College’s Blount Center in downtown Gainesville (530 W University Ave.).
Tickets can still be purchased starting at $108. Each one includes dinner from Daniel’s Dining and presentations on the community’s history of human trafficking, what Anew is doing to combat the issue and its impact.
Speakers include Anew founder Executive Director Alison Ungaro, Programs Coordinator Lakisha Scott, volunteer and sponsor Brianna Martin and FBI Special Agent Keith Joyce.
