
The Cuscowilla Nature and Retreat Center will host a Day Camp Open House on Saturday, April 12.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to noon at 210 SE 134th Ave. in Micanopy. Families are invited to explore camp activities, meet the summer staff, and take a camp tour.
Registration for Cuscowilla’s seven-week summer day camp (running June 9 to July 25) is still open, but spots are filling quickly. The camp is open to children ages 7 to 11, with activities including archery, swimming, outdoor skills, arts and crafts, kayaking, and field trips to local destinations such as Carson Springs Wildlife Foundation, Poe Springs and the Cade Museum.
The weekly rate is $150, which includes breakfast, lunch, a snack, and bus transportation from Lincoln Middle School 1001 SE 12th St. in Gainesville.
Scholarships are available for qualifying campers through Alachua County Children’s Trust and the Friends of Cuscowilla.
